Vast and numerous information on any topic is available on the internet. Most scholars and scientists regard the internet as an enormous containing user submitted data and content. Anyone can gain access to a vast number of online groups, informative sources as well as multi-media. There a few regulations formulated regarding what a person is allowed or restricted to publish on the internet since the content available on it is self-submitted. Therefore, some of the information available can be inaccurate or opinion-based thus making it unreliable. Despite the inaccuracy and incoherence in some data and information available on the internet, the technological advancement should not be disregarded as a tool when conducting research. This is because, it possesses vast sources regarding current news, scholarly articles and journals, general information, credible magazines among other relevant information. However, the internet remains a significant research tool that can be used to obtain data.

The human race has achieved everything that was once an impossible thought with the power of imagination and curiosity. Technology has become an evident and crucial part of our life which is slowly and gradually taking over our activities in every walk of life to our daily practices and duties. Research conducted by Deloitte found that Americans check their phone 8 billion times a day ("Global Mobile Consumer Survey"). Furthermore, the study revealed that smartphone ownership has increased to 82 percent, while 93 percent of the younger generation owns a smartphone (Gregg, Michael., & Kim, 2005). People use it to text, browse, read and a thousand other functions that are easily carried out on a small device. The human race is dependent on the things it has created.

Middle school, high school, college, post-graduate or take a student from any level of education, they use the internet for their daily queries, homework, understanding a topic, searching a lecture they missed or carrying out a research study. The internet is the primary source for the students and the general public to solve their confusions and answer their questions.

Technology and the need for accessible education have made online learning a possibility and the reality of the modern world. Students from around the globe can access any university in the world and professor to attendant their classes, achieve quality education and receive a degree at the comfort of their homes and avoid the expenses of living near their college and paying thousands of dollars on overrated physical classrooms (Schneider & Gary). Millions of students are registered to online classes, who receive their degrees from well-known universities that suit their learning styles and timings.

Online courses and programs have reshaped the way people received education and introduced an innovative way teaching that is more interacting, unique and exciting for students. The option of online training is much more affordable and accessible which has eliminated the barriers of distance, language, culture and learning pace. Salman Khan, who is the founder of one of the biggest online education provider, i.e. Khan Academy, explained in his ‘Ted Talk' the importance and outstanding quality of online tutorials than actual classroom teaching. He said that when he first begins to teach his cousins through YouTube videos due to the distance barrier, his cousins gave his the feedback that they preferred his teaching in the form of a video than in person. He realized that a student can now control the teaching process and the pace of learning because he can repeat an instruction they didn't understand, pause for taking notes and making sense out what they just learned, and rewind something they didn't understand (Duboff & Spaeth, 2000).

Learning is a crucial part of human life and education is the key to one's personal development and one the indicators of leading a successful life. However, quality education is not accessible to everyone due to geographical and demographical differences around the world and specifically in America where parents always worry about a good school in their area (Postill, 2010). Since, the introduction of online classes and academic tutorials, these barriers have been removed, and quality education has become a reality for every student in America and every part of the world, where there is access to a personal computer or smartphone and the internet.

Online education has made customized learning a possibility. This is a more effective approach towards educating people which is more interactive and unique for students with different issues and a different pace of learning. Education has become more specific, practical and focused on the areas that require being catered first. The learning process is more prioritized and customized for every student according to their preferences.

Millions of students learn every day through online courses and tutorials. Moreover, online programs offered by universities have enrolled thousands of students. Online education is now not restricted to tutorials and a basic understanding of a subject or topic (Gregg, Michael, & Kim, 2005). Students can achieve official certificates and degrees from their dream colleges in a variety of courses at affordable charges, and sometimes they can participate in online classes for free. It caters students from various backgrounds and all age groups. Students can learn a lecture through videos and notes that they can access it anytime and anywhere. Tests are also performed online, results and certificates are provided online on their portals.

Online education challenges the concept of a school building, typical classrooms and traditional ways of learning where the teacher delivers his lecture without individual attention which can is almost impossible in classes that have more than fifty students (Perry, 2008). The teacher works at their own pace and the level, of course, they are addressing without considering individual learning styles and capabilities.

Unlike, the traditional classrooms, online education has provided equal opportunities for all students around the globe and in America regardless of their geographical location and cultural background. Online training has helped students identify their strength and weaknesses through various tests. This provides them with customized learning where students focus on their weak areas and learn a topic at their own pace.

Customized learning is the new way of education adopted by online education providers. The method is unique and exciting for students as they can learn difficult topics at their own pace and comfort zone which makes them confident about their capabilities and built up their personality to lead a successful professional life in the real world. Moreover, students can choose a teacher that they believe will meet their requirements and provide them individual attention. Students feel talented and motivated to learn and take their classes (Schneider & Gary)

Online education offers for all kinds of students with different problems and weaknesses. Various learning techniques are used such as visual, verbal, logical, social etc. to cater the needs of every individual that aims to achieve a quality education. Furthermore, participation in physical classrooms can be frightening for students with confidence issues. They fear to raise a question that will embarrass them or ask the teacher if they didn't understand a particular topic. The classroom environment can be discouraging for some students. Therefore, online and personal learning experience helps a student to solve their confusions without embarrassing themselves or being afraid of the teacher.

Some universities offer free online services and help students excel in different subjects. Khan Academy is one of the most prominent non-profit online education organizations that provide over 220,000 videos for various issues and different levels (Kevin, 2005). Their SAT courses are one of the most successful classes that help thousands of students to perform well on standardized tests and get to their desired colleges.

The linking of education with technology brings about equality. Learning institutions established across the nation are not equally structured. Royal Observatory Greenwich observed that there is a significant disparity in the resources available in the education sector regarding the wealth or the lack of accordingly depending on the region or area where the institution is established. Students, from low-income areas, who have accessibility to technology, can obtain significant skills and advantages in their schooling and learning processes (Van Der et al., 2015). The use of similar technology in schools across a country acts as an equalizer for the less fortunate and disadvantaged learners.

The world is progressing so had in the field of science and technology that current university students are known as the generation of the net. It Isa fact that:

‘Because of media and internet world has turned into a global village”.

Everything has its advantages and disadvantages. Multitasking which is defined as the involvement of two or more individuals in a task lead to poor performance due to continuous switching and disruptions (Van Der et al.,2015). It has been proved that media and multitasking has a negative relation with academic performance of individuals. Out of 43 studies, 17 studies suggested the same result. It is a borderline case. Some studies show that multi-tasking and media enhance the academic performance. Different surveys have shown that students related to fields of art, communication and other subjects like this tend to gain more from this multitasking computer age while students related to science subjects are left blank. The primary aim of this article is to demonstrate those different items used to attract students of different thinking styles. Interest leads to success or failure of a student. The results of surveys are not authentic because of varying school policies and their analyzing criteria. But the fact here is that somehow multitasking is affecting the performance of students.

In a world dominated by technology, the latest advancement is as good as the next development coming up down the line. The automotive industry is continually updating new technologies in their products, be it for usefulness, safety, innovation or real security. Most of the car technologies are either specifically designed for safety measures or are at least focused on safety. These advancements are exciting and have the capability of revolutionizing not only the automotive industry as well as the human transportation and commuting sector (Perry, 2008). Such advancements have a positive impact on the transport industry and are recommendable. This essay will explore some of the latest technologies together with their roles and advantages.

One of the technological advancements featured in cars is the drivers' overdrive systems. This is related to the autonomous technology, but it is a bit different in the sense that it allows the car to actively ignore and disregard the driver's commands and inputs making and executing its own decisions. Some of the cars are fitted with this technology and can stop on their own even if the driver fails to apply brakes. It is perceived that by the year 2020, it is projected that vehicles will be using brakes on its own even if the driver has his foot on the gas pedal (Van Der et al., 2015). There will be a change in priorities due to the rapid increase and advancement in sensor technology letting the automobile make the ultimate decision.

Another critical technology in cars is the biometric accessibility of the vehicle. In the recent past and the current years, there has been a shift from a key to a keyless entry into a car. There is also a key-fob-less entry and ignition as compared to the crucial analogous timer. This will enable people to access and unlock as well as start their cars without the use of keys but rather with their fingerprints (Van Der et al., 2015). There is also a technology possibility that will enable accessibility and ignition of a vehicle use of eyeballs. However, the application of retina scanners in vehicles is less likely as compared to fingerprint readers. This will not only make the automotive industry exciting and interesting but will also enhance security and safety reducing the levels of carjacking and theft

While technology might impact human beings positively, it does hurt the environment. This takes in the form of light, water, noise, and air pollution. Technology has its several uses at home, workplace, and education centres. Electric energy is needed to make them work. This calls for production of electricity through nuclear fuels or coal-burning power plants which adversely affects the environment (Postill, 2010). During the process of mining uranium, fuel used in power plants, high amounts of carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere.

According to the American Psychiatric Association, depression is a medical illness that affects how one feels, thinks and acts. The effect of technology on depression is attributed its overuse in day-to-day activities. The Internet offers unlimited access to news and entertainment from all over the world that could cause digital information overload. In the article, five ways technology might be feeding your depression, Joel Lee tells us that our minds just are not able to handle that kind of constant influx of information without making some significant changes along the way. However, the Internet can be used to fight depression, varieties of information when surfing end up making the brain feel boring when away from it.

In recent research, people who would be termed to be addicted to the Internet score higher on depression scales as compared to those who have limited access to technology. This is because technology may offer some sense of comfort or make them less sensitive during stressful conditions. Depression may arise where individuals result in a worse mood than they were before accessing the Internet (Perry, 2008). Although social media is advantageous for socializing, social sites tend to create idealistic ideas of other peoples' lives that can cause depression.

In conclusion, technology should not dictate our lives, and instead, we should choose how to use it wisely. This requires usage of technology in the right amount and not overdoing it to the extent of environmental degradation, criminal activities within its sphere, and harm to the mental and physical wellness of human beings. It should also be noted that technological advancements should be handled with measures carefully crafted even in the most unpredictable of circumstances.
