The one remarkable team conflict in a team that I was a part of was a conflict between ideologies and opinions in the team. We were working on designing a user interface that could take in the definite values from the user and put into the designed slots, and to help the client with their cupcake business. As we were working as a team, every member of the team had their own ideology regarding the personalization of the interface and gradually two teams formed up with their opinions. They were a major conflict on this issue and none of the team wants to work with another. There was no active communication between the two groups and hence there was no resolution that affected the delivery schedule. Moreover, personality differences were showing up clearly and do add up to be the major conflict of a team. I think the key reason behind this is not having a powerful and effective leader and also no power or control over the team.

The interventions like limiting the power of the team members over the final decision and to place an effective leader would help in improving the quality of conflict of a team. A team leader has to provide the team with the specific requirements and deliverables for the client and also try to brainstorm over the ideas which would help in resolve conflicts and also effective communication must be entertained. The three indices of creativity are fluency, formalizing newer ideas and flexibility, feasibility with the approach. I think i possess the ability to formalize newer ideas at the earliest as I feel it most challenging to bring out newer solutions in times of jeopardy. As I ought to think creatively I think I also have the upper hand when it comes to the change in the approach of the quality of ideas I have. I think I would use the tools of quality control and also use the basic tools that would help me in enhancing creativity and also to bring in new ideas. I would give up listening to the prevalent ideas as it would only make me align to think in the same direction.
