Learning Team Charter – CPMGT/305 Team 3
Overview
A learning team is defined as a group of individuals who work to accomplish mutual goals and output (University of Phoenix, 2014). Throughout your academic journey, you will have an opportunity to engage in learning that will support you in developing skills associated with the University Learning Goals of collaboration, communication, critical thinking and problem solving, information utilization, and competence and professional values. Learning teams involve group participation and discussions; however, the outcome is for the team to submit one deliverable in which every member of the team contributes. While a grade is awarded to each team member, not all team members receive the same grade as grades are awarded based upon the contributions of the team member. Your faculty member will assign learning teams as students will work together to submit Learning Team assignment(s).

Learning Team Assignment Project Plan by Week
Create a project plan for each Learning Team assignment using the table below. Determine as a group the Project Plan table elements.
As there are Learning Team assignments that will require you to collaborate with your teammates to complete your assignments for the duration of this course, each team member has an opportunity to document how the team will achieve its assignment deliverables. To ensure full team participation, please complete the project plan to establish Learning Team guidelines for your weekly team assignments. Keep in mind that only those who participate in team discussions and contribute to the completion of the assignment will earn points.
Note: On the title page for your Learning Team assignments, only include the names of the team members who contributed to the completion of the team assignment. Please refer to your Learning Team Charter to review Learning Team expectations.
For each Learning Team assignment for this course, establish team guidelines by completing the table below. Learning Team assignments may not be due every week. Please list the assignments due each week. If there is no Learning Team assignment due, list N/A in the category for the week.

Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper composed of the following sections: · Project Selection Criterion: Describe the building project and the criteria used in the selection process. Do not just say we selected this because our Instructor told us to build a barn. Angel · Overview: The objective of this section is to provide an overview of the scope (what is in scope for the build (i.e. single stall barn, commercial barn, metal, wood, etc) and nature of the project to help enable the team to select one project to work on for the rest of the course. Misty · Preliminary project schedule: The objective of this section is to show a preliminary project schedule with the project tasks/subtasks. Do not just only submit (the MS Project file should be a separate attachment) your MS Project schedule/gantt chart...need to also have some words/discussion associated with it in the paper. Tim · Preliminary budgetary plan: The objective of the budget section is to capture cost estimates, which include resources, capital expenses, materials, and miscellaneous. The cost analysis must consider the following elements (at a minimum): labor, subcontractors, rental or purchase of equipment or facilities, travel, telecommunications, supplies and materials, and documentation. Do not just only insert a budget table in the paper...need to have some words/discussion associated with it. Greg · Use Microsoft® Word for your paper. · Use Microsoft® Project for your Preliminary project schedule....the Gannt chart submitted must be using MS Project and submit the actual file....not a screen shot.
Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.
Submit both your Preliminary Project Charter Worksheet and Preliminary Project Plan (to include the separate MS Project file).

Prepare a final Project Plan paper of 800 words building off the Week 2 Learning Team Assignment. This paper should be in APA format (which means intro/closing paragraphs, headers, etc) Angel
List/Discuss the milestones (remember what a milestone is, it is not every task/activity) that must be accomplished to achieve the project goals. Include a list/discussion of the critical path for the project and what tasks are on it.--Misty
Develop/discuss a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). The WBS is typically in the format of a "hierarchy" chart structure (can use MS Powerpoint to build).....need to go to at least 4 levels (ie.e. X.X.X.X) in the WBS. Yes I understand that MS Project can "self build" the WBS but I need to see your team understand the concepts and build it yourselves. Greg
Develop/discuss a Microsoft® Project Gantt chart detailing the tasks/subtasks, dependencies, resources for the project. Ensure you have an adequate number of tasks/subtasks for the project. Ensure task/subtasks names are appropriate, dependencies make sense, timeframes make sense, milestones, etc as your build out your project schedule Gantt chart. Must submit the actual MS Project file. - Yara
Develop/discuss the final project budget. TIm
Submit assignment with the MS Project file as a separate file; WBS should be embedded in your paper

Read the Small Construction Project Earned Value Case Study.
Complete each of the subsequent questions (turn in the sheet by filling in the values you calculated) by calculating the appropriate earned value component. There is no paper/words to include with the sheet, just complete the sheet with values. Question 1: Forecast the duration of the activities that are currently in progress assuming their current rate of progress will continue till the end of the project. Find out the remaining duration as per the forecasted duration. Step 1 - Determine activities in progress (ID 30 and ID50) - Less than 100% complete Step 2 - Calculate actual duration from activity start date to status date for each activity in progress. The remaining duration calculation must be computed using the % of work completed to date. Team will complete during weekly video call as a group |

Team ( Jacqulin/Misty will edit the powerpoint and Jacqulin will submit the power point) · Section 1 - Project Scope and Benefits: Describe the scope of the projects, their objectives, and the specific measurable impact they will have on the business or organizational results. This section is an overview of the project that briefly reviews the Project Management Plan, including the schedule and budget. |
Ground Rules for Engagement |
Learning Team Response |
Steps the Team will Take to Address Unmet Team Expectations |
|
Participation How often should team members meet to discuss an assignment deliverable? |
Team members will meet once a week to discus the project goals for each week. We will also future plan for all upcoming weeks during the video call. |
If the team does not hear from a team member about their assignment the team lead for the week will reach out to the team member by text and e-mail. If no response the team member will not be added to weekly assignments if no work is completed. |
|
Collaboration How will we work with others to achieve our assignment goals and work through conflict? |
Team will communicate through group text chat. As well as e-mail as needed. Group will meet Tuesday evenings by video chat to discuss weekly project. |
An e-mail will be sent to all team members after weekly video chat outlining the topics discussed during the meeting. This will allow anyone unable to attend the ability to see what was discussed and what the weekly goals are. |
|
Communication What modes of communication will we use? Where will we communicate? |
The group will communicate through group text chat. As well as video chat. E-mail will be used as last resort. |
If a team member is not communicating with the rest of the team in anyway an e-mail and direct text will be sent to the team member by the team lead for the week. If there is no participation by the team member the team member will not be added to the assignment for participation. |
|
Team contributions What are the expectations for equitable contributions from each team member? |
Each member must communicate in a timely manner with the rest of the team. Each team member must try to participate in project work including assignments and discussions. |
If there is no communication and no work submitted by 6 pm on Sundays the team lead will reach out to the missing team member through text. If the team member does not respond within the hour the team lead will reach out to the rest of the team asking for help to complete the missing part of the assignment. |
|
Assignment deadlines Identify the dates in which team contributions assignments are due. (Include dates for draft submission and final submission) |
Team contributions will be turned in by 2 pm on Saturdays, unless otherwise communicated by the team or team member. |
Week 2 due- 6/11/2022 2 pm UOP time Week 3 due- 6/3/2022 2 pm UOP time Week 4 due- 6/25/2022 2 pm UOP time Week 5 due- 7/2/2022 2 pm UOP time

|
Other Considerations Include any other special considerations for this team. |
Acts of God or family emergencies that prevent a team member from completing a weekly assignment will not be held against the team member. The team will accept any effort made by the team member experiencing the issue. |
The team will ask this team member what they are able to complete considering their circumstances. The team will come together and complete any additional work needed to complete the assignment. The team will accept the team members effort as participation. |
