Overview of the Teacher’s Background

The teacher graduated with an associate in Art in 1998. She afterward was awarded her bachelor's degree in Science in 2002. She later had her Master's degree in early childhood education in 2008. She has been an education specialist since 2012. The teacher is adequately experienced, with 19 years in the education industry. The teacher has taught in several schools. She began her teaching career at UWA Campus school and is currently working as an education specialist and team teacher, among other roles, in the same school. In terms of subject areas and grades she has achieved in her students, she indicated little information on it. She is currently engaged in subjects such as literature and math and is building exemplary writing skills in her students. She is pretty explained in literary writing as she indicated that she is a reader who prefers mysteries, supernatural and romantic comedies. Besides, she is writing her 138th book as her challenge this year.

My reaction to the teacher's responses and why you believe the teacher gave the answers that they did.

I was happy with the way the teacher responded to my interview questions since she responded to all of them. However, I was disappointed with the shallowness of some of the responses. For example, in terms of the educational background, the teacher did not provide information on her kindergarten, primary or high school schooling. She omitted the information because she did not see any relevance in it. Therefore, she only provided her tertiary education background, which she believed was relevant to her current career as a teacher and education specialist.

Regarding her future plans, I liked how she gave an elaborate response showing her dedication to her teaching career. She indicated that she would think of her plans after teaching by the time she reached the age of fifty. She gave that response because fifty is the age when most career people think of retiring or shifting to other activities that seem fit to their current situation. I particularly her dedication and experience outside the classroom. The teacher indicated that she enjoys hobbies such as painting and reading novels. It painted my head that she is a holistic person who can enforce the necessary skills and attitude into her students.
