Super Typhoon Haiyan was one of the most substantial storm disasters that happened in the central Philippian. The path where the storm was passing had a demographic of around 25 million peoples. Notably ahead of the typhoon arrival, thousands of the people have been relocated from the particular venerable areas in the Taliban city (Smith, Dalgleish, & Meiser‐Stedman, 2019). For example, the population of around 200000 was disrupted and affected in Tacloban city after the hit. The struck was very intensive as it crushed the area with a speed of around 200 miles per hour. Notably, the absolute scale of the disaster was problematic to determine. More so, the storm rose above 20 feet in some regions, which was the highest ever scenario to be experienced in the world. The storm killed nearly 7000 and displaced more than 4 million cumulative in all cities.

The death menace from the country was very hefty, and many people were affected and with most having the depression. The family, which was in strength and unison, were no more, and life was devastating in various perspectives for the survivors. However, the government and other world stakeholders like disaster management and the Red Cross were steadfast in providing the various posttraumatic stress disorders to the survivor. The process aimed to intervene in their minds and give them hope that could have changed their feelings and thoughts regarding the circumstance resulting from the disaster.

Various earlier interventions stabilize the psychological mind of the survivors who have been affected by the disaster. Helping establish survivors self –help group the act ensures that they establish a shared sense of control and formulate their thoughts. The group serves and ensures that it give the survivors more energy towards providing their mutual support. Notably, through the group, it becomes easier to develop more concern about the individual affected and promote a better plan to serve them. The intervention is very critical as the different organizations can manage to provide the necessary disaster mental health resources that make the affected to revolve back to their normality. Consequently, the group enables the charitable organization involved to aid in the group network and publics about the existence of the people affected. More so, it reduces the self-denial chances of various individuals and facilitates the healing process among the community involved in the disaster occurrence.

Teaching the survivors the relaxation technique; here, the intervention triggers the process of calmness to the individual affected. Notably, the individual who is directly affected by the menace has a lot of unrest in their daily doing. Most of them are affected by the thought and feeling of the tragedy, and thus they stay alert and on guard as they fear any other occurrence of the tragedy. However, the relaxation intervention makes the individual feel relaxed, refreshed psychically, and emotionally. Therefore, the individual should be positioned in the areas that are not noisy and chaotic, the quiet place where the individual is uninterrupted at any cost. The intervention works in a very better manner and provides the victims ample time to heal and come back to their normal conditions.

Substance abuse prevention, as the intervention measure, helps the survivor’s individual restrain depression that can result in drug abuse. Notably, the minority of the survivor indulge in drug abuse and medication substances following the tragic exposure. The depression and the trauma cause the individual to indulge in the ideal so that they can reduce memories of the event, boost socialization, and sleep without the tragic nightmare. Therefore the intervention will help to monitor the survivors and provide better consolation that will facilitate the to avoid the depression that can result in drug uses the substance. More so, the ideal will prevent other side effects that can result from the drug abuse and substance from the survivors, thus saving their lives.

The trauma that the individual experience can be prevented by various interventions that save them against other trauma in life. The intervention helps them adapt slowly and heal the health situation that has developed from the trauma and accelerate them to heal slowly and frequently.
