The lesson focuses on explaining the challenges faced by USA as a new nation and discussing in detail to development of the constitution as a new approach for governing.

The teaching skills include explain and giving reason why USA need to adopt new governing approaches, explain to economic and politic issue facing the country at the time

Expansion and reform (1792-1861)

The lesson consist focus on analyzing the challenges to an emerging nation, identifying regional and economic growth and explaining the development of antebellum American reform movement.

The teaching skills include good analysis and evaluation skills

Civil war and reconstruction (1850-1877)

The lesson focuses on the coming of the civil war, explaining the cause, key events and complex consequences of the civil war and evaluating the reconstruction process.

The lesson focuses on analyzing the major changes in communication, transportation, urban centers and demography during the last half of the 19th century in America.
