Mid-term assignment

Task

The students are supposed to answer the following questions in groups of 3 bearing in mind that the course is focusing on the B2B relationships, therefore the examples should be B2B oriented.

The task is oriented towards understanding the topics related to Selling, Sales management, Personal selling and sales force.

Questions:

1. In your opinion, what is a key to obtain high selling results? Do you think that establishing trustworthy relations would guaranty success in sales?

2. What are the challenges facing the modern Personal Sellers in the actual B2B market? Explain the Personal selling process.

3. Based on the example of pharmaceutical industry demonstrate the different seller roles. Choose at least 3 go-to-market channels which you consider the most effective nowadays and describe how they are used.

Formalities:

· Wordcount: 1500 - 2000 words

· Cover, Table of Contents, References and Appendix are excluded of the total wordcount.

· Font: Arial 12,5 pts.

· Text alignment: Justified.

· The in-text References and the Bibliography have to be in Harvard’s citation style.

Submission: Week 6, Sunday 6th March 23:59 – Via Moodle (Turnitin).

Weight: This task is a 25% of your total grade for this subject.

It assesses the following learning outcomes:

· Outcome 1: Understand the sales management function as part of the overall company strategy and the processes involved in go-to-market activities.

· Outcome 2: Describe the importance of personal selling as part of IMC.

· Outcome 3: Analyze the different stages of the personal selling process and its participants.
