What is the authors’ purpose of the study?

The study is both quantitative and qualitative.Quantitative because it is involving numerical data. For example; giving the rate of pelvis injury to be 3.3%-11.5%.it is also qualitative because involves identification of the injury in athletes and gives more details about it.

The purpose of the study is to identify injuries accrued by athletes whether minor or not. It also purposed on diagnosis and treatment, possible ways to conserve and management femoroacetabular impingement in athletes.

Hypothesis or Research Questions

What questions guided the study?

Hypothesis 1 :( page 83) Functional biomechanics of the hip. The hip provides ligamentous support in walking and running and helps in absorption of impact forces initially contact with ground.

Hypothesis 2 :( page 84) Examination for FAIs.Patients with FAIs tend to complain pain in hip part.

Population: The study involved young males and females between 25-65 years.

Methodology: (page 83) the study was conducted through physical examination on the functional biomechanics of hip.

Tool: Clinical tests where individuals with FAIS or ALTs were included.

Findings and Conclusions

What findings were made in this study and what was the conclusion(s)?

It was found that patients with FAIs or ALTs reported significant improvement in reduction of hip pain.

In conclusion public need to be influenced on management of femoroacetabular impingement. Clinicians should focus on treatment individual patient based on their area of pain.

Since I have understood more about famoroacetabular impingement I will ensure I prevent hip pain resulted inexercises. I will ensure that I create awareness to my future patients especially those working in desk related job where they sit for long hours to influence them to have daily exercises.
