This module's discussion assignment considers offshoring to solve the issue of expertise, especially for IT personnel. Please post your response to Discussion Question 8-11 from the Core Concepts book.  This topic is unlike the first two week’s topics in that many students have been personally affected or know someone who has been affected by offshoring.  In formulating your discussion, most students will start off by discussing this in a social sense and that perspective matters but I encourage everyone to look at it from a business perspective as well.  Not just on a cost savings level but overall.  If you Google enough, you’ll find some companies doing reverse offshoring. 

8-11. Some businesses choose offshoring to solve the issue of expertise, especially for IT personnel. These companies claim they simply cannot find enough qualified employees in the United States to do certain technology jobs. Do you agree with this assessment? Why or why not?
