Importance of Exercise

Undoubtedly, good health is something important and essential for every human being, therefore people should try keeping their body healthy. Admittedly there are various tips on how to live a healthy life.  Physical exercise is one of the major tips which promote good health and there are various authors which have written and expounded on the importance of physical exercise. Amanda L. Rebar and Adrian Taylor authors of the article Physical Activity and Mental Health stated that physical exercise is greater than thus just a mere prescription.

The authors state that the doing exercise promote good health and reduce the chances of an individual to develop intense diseases like the cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and cancer. Similarly, they also added that exercises may have long-term or immediate health benefits but what is most important is the regular exercise since it gradually promotes individual’s quality of life.

Apparently, physical exercise is the most commonly known as the best method to maintain the body active and healthy.  Neglecting body health can be a dangerous thing in someone life since it can cause much mental and physical health according to Amanda L. Rebar and Adrian Taylor hence making our body to be vulnerable to other opportunistic diseases thus causing someone beauty and energy to be lost in his or her early stages.

Physical exercises are of a different kind and therefore different people have different preferences and choices according to the authors Amanda L. Rebar and Adrian Taylor. For instance, people have a choice on whether to walk, swim garden, skipping, do yoga or go to an equipped gym since all are part of physical exercises. Physical exercise helps in metabolizing excess fat which may be found in the body and most likely those which are deposited in the blood vessels and as a result, someone is able to evade diseases like high blood pressure. Additional, physical exercise also aids someone in reducing the excessive weight in the body thus helping them to keep off from a disease like obesity.

Consequently, exercise elevate someone’s mood since it makes an individual feel relaxed and have a better sleep thus facilitating their peace of mind which promotes their mental health. Moreover, it helps in making the body develop immunity since it makes bones stronger and body to be more muscular. Furthermore, it facilitates people who are hospitalized or those who on a bed rest to recover more easily since exercise makes the body to be more active and hence cure more easily.

In conclusion, physical exercise is a kind of a discipline and it symbolizes sincerity and self-control according to Amanda L. Rebar and Adrian Taylor. Additionally, it facilitates in character building since it makes individual minds active and sharp, thus promoting mental capability and strength. Therefore everybody should embrace it and be doing it regularly.
