He knew b/c his brother in law was in the military and his friends were victims. Felt sorry about Kuwait and did not encourage war for any reason!

He knew the reason behind the invasion, he was in the military and went to Kuwait for liberation. No good reason can let you invade a country. |

I do not know about it. I do not think it is appropriate because we need to mind our own business and not try to be everyone's hero. I could not imagine living in an invaded country, it seems terrifying and sad. |

She was one year old, her mother told her that the Iraqi army wanted to take her. She believes that some Iraqi people are forced to Saddam Hussain’s dictatorship, and others not. |

She was not born but she knew there are lots of victims and damage. Her family went to Saudi Arabia. Kuwaiti people felt like their country is being taken from them. Iraqi people had no choice about the invasion because they were under a dictatorial rule. Iraq had No reason to invade Kuwait b/c it is obviously not a part of Iraq.

I don’t know about the Iraqi Invasion, I feel like you cannot say that all Iraqi people are wrong because not all of them invaded Kuwait. I don’t know the reason why Iraq invaded Kuwait, but I don’t really think there’s ever a reason for countries to invade each other. I’ve talked with some people who grew up in places of war and it was so hard for them, so imagining it for myself, I wouldn’t want anyone to have to experience it.

I don’t know very much about the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. In terms of invading a country, it is difficult to standardize what “good reasons” actually means. There is value in defending oneself or their country if it is necessary for the safety of its people. However, many of the issues which lead to war or invasion can be addressed in more peaceful ways that cause less harm. I feel very grateful to have grown up in a country where there is not war. Living with this kind of stress, especially as a child, would be extremely difficult and impactful. |

I felt like a warrior. We were at the base the first day of the invasion. We shot down 37 Iraqi jet fighters and helicopters. |

It is religiously prohibited for someone to attack another. Kuwaitis were oppressed and were killed for even small reasons. The consequences of the Iraqi war were also evident after the war. Iraq was fragile, but Kuwait is still helping and providing aid and oil to Iraq. |

The war was terrifying! Hunger and no one can walk outside at night. She was pregnant and Iraqi army did not let her to go to the hospital. Iraqi army took hospital equipment to Iraq. Cannot wear any clothes because of the risk of getting raped. (She was crying while we were interviewing her). |
