Course Information

Description

This course covers the skills and techniques managers need to provide leadership and direction within a changing organizational environment. Students will examine fast-paced changes including evolving demographics and emerging technologies and how they relate to innovative talent management, leadership, and managerial responses to addressing future organizational challenges.

Using a SWOT analysis, the MBA candidate will be able to evaluate competitive advantage and present a proposal for adapting to changes in the global business environment.

Learning Objective 2 – Examine the factors involved in creating strategic business objectives.

Using Porter’s Five Forces and contingency leadership models, the MBA candidate will be able to present recommendations for alignment of operational needs with business strategies.

By analyzing current cultural, demographic and technological forces, as well as a company's compliance with ethical and social responsibilities, the MBA candidate will present recommendations for organizational innovation.
