You can only upload ONE document ONE time. Put all your answers on the same document.

1. (20 points) First, explain how sociologists do sociology. Second. Pick two of the three major theoretical paradigms in sociology and explain how they lead sociologists to “see” the social world in your own words. Third, pick two of the major research methods in sociology and explain how they work in your own words. Your answer must be between 200-400 words in total.
2. (20 points) Culture involves many things. Describe and explain an empirically true story from real life (that is, something that actually, truly happened!) that provides an example of ethnocentrism in south Floridian culture. Describe and explain a second empirically true story from real life that provides an example of cultural relativism in south Floridian culture. Finally, provide a third empirically true story from real life that provides an example of cultural diffusion in south Floridian culture. Your answer must be between 100 and 300 words in total.
3. (20 points) Explain and describe how at least four agents of socialization (see p. 86-92) have shaped who you are today. Your answer must be between 100 and 300 words in total and each of the four agents must address ONE AND ONLY ONE of the following four aspects of your life:
a. gender
b. sexualities
c. race
d. ethnicity

Provide a Dramaturgical analysis (p. 119-123) of what is going on in this situation concerning delayed food. Your answer must be 100 and 300 words in total.
5. (20 points) As discussed in class, small group process involves a flow through Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing. Moreover, as also discussed in class, once a small group is in the Performing phase, things occur that feed the group back to the Storming phase. Provide an empirically true story (something that really happened in your real life) that describes and explains how one small group you were a part of went through each of the four phases, and include one example of how that group went back to the Storming phase after initially reaching the Performing stage.
Your answer must be between 100 and 300 words.
Extra Credit (optional) 5 points possible
Do some homework on the current events involving Russia and Ukraine. Your answer must be between 400 and 600 words in total. Provide an empirical sociological analysis ( facts, not opinions ) of:
1. What is going on
2. What the conflict is an instance of
3. What patterns are occurring
4. What those patterns can tell us about the social world
