This is the case of “Rossie”, a minor that was admitted in my agency in 2016. “Rossie” crossed the border with her maternal grand-mother and were separated because grandmother was not minor legal custodian, her legal costudy and biological mother was waiting for them in U.S. During a medical exam minor reported that in 2010 her father was drunk and threw her against a wall. Minor reported she was in the hospital for a month. Sponsor reported that she and the minor's father were having domestic violence issues at the time of the incident. Minor intervened between both parents and the father pushed her against the wall. CL will continue to assess. At that time she denied any residual weakness, pain or limitation of use of the arm. She has 2 large scars at the posterior side of the arm. Domestic violence was the reason for the mother to come to U.S as undocumented, minor’s biological father also physically abused of maternal grand-mother.
