Opportunities:

Provision of a healthy method of staying fit.

The public would find a fun method of engaging with social connections.

Stress Relief would be promoted using the pool’s cool ambience.

Threats:

Dangers of persons drowning.

Health hazards such as the pool not being clean all the time.

Lack of life guards to constantly monitor the persons using the pool.

There can be hazardous materials used to clean the pool.

Allergic reactions of people to the chemicals used to clean the pool.

Exposure to electric threats when cleaning equipment use electricity.

Strengths:

Increase in value of the facility since it would be possible to promote public participation.

The capability to provide participants with fitness activities in an affordable way.

There is high likelihood of limiting threats by employing experienced life guards to monitor activities around the pool.

Weaknesses:

There is an issue whereby the facility may not be suitable for may people especially since not many people know how to swim.

The pool may not be affordable for all persons since it requires club membership.

Protection of the pool such as solid covers may not fully limit the dangers of persons around it to fall inside.

Which of the facility’s strengths can be used to maximize the opportunities you identified?

It would be possible for the facility to provide fitness sessions for persons with knowledge of swimming.

The persons involved can improve their skills by learning to swim in many styes and for long duration of time (Layne et al., 2020).

The participants can get enrolled into professional swimming lessons regardless of age. This creates relevance of the facility in the public and it has the likelihood of being considered a coaching facility.

There would be strong connections between the persons involved since it would be possible to create strong emotional and psychological connections by relaxing in the serene facility.

Strength-Threats Strategies

Which of the facility’s strengths can be used to minimize the threats you identified?

To minimize the threats the facility can apply its strength of employing experienced life guards to always monitor pool activities. This would create a safe and serene environment that includes expert swimmers and novice ones that can get trained.

The life guards would also minimize the threat of hazardous materials in the water since their experience gives them more knowledge concerning the pool’s maintenance.

How can you minimize the facility’s weaknesses using the opportunities you identified?

The issue of affordability would get reduced by providing the facility with an effective method of providing affordable swimming sessions.

The participants would get trained to ensure they are aware of all conditions around the pool. It would be possible to reduce any risks such as drowning.

How can you minimize the facility’s weaknesses to avoid the threats you identified?

The facility can get constantly monitored to ensure it is up to required standards of operation. This would be made possible by including external assessments by persons highly experienced in the field.
