Today there are a lot of organizations involved in strategic planning. Some due to COVID, others due other reasons. Strategic planning is a technique that organizations use in the allocation of resources to accomplish the goal of an organization. This paper discusses the SWOT analysis and strategic goal of a higher learning institution. My strategic goal is to create a proposal for a Student Services Department to be added to the campus. I feel that this will help with the student retention issue and possibly enrollment. This in turn can eliminate the possibility of losing funding and accreditation. This one goal can fix several issues. Student want to know that they have resources that can help them in time of crisis. A Student Services department can address issues such as, childcare, transportation, finances, mental health, and others.
