Find and Contact four individuals who are currently working at the job you have chosen for your future career.  You should set up times to interview them or get your surveys to them (and back to you!) between now and October 12th (Friday).  Interviews can be done over the phone if that is the only way you can make it work (face-to-face is preferable).  Surveys may be sent and collected via email.

Compose and Submit a draft of your survey or set of interview questions to the discussion board entitled, "Survey/Interview Draft" by October 3rd at 10 PM.  The point of the surveys/interviews is to find out as much about what it actually means to "do" whatever it is that a person with your chosen career does.  How did they get there?  What are the specifics of any education needed/recommended?  What are the realities of income?  What is the future of the field?  What do they wish they'd known when they were starting out (what should anyone thinking about this field know ahead of time?)? And, any other advice, stories, insight, etc. you can get.  Consult the material in the reading and adjust as it seems to best fit your needs.

You should plan on actually doing the interviews/submitting the surveys as early as possible. Ideally, you will have them completed by the 15th. At the very least, you need to have them scheduled by the 6th. Trust me when I say that you want to have the surveys/interviews completed by the 12th. Be certain to read through the material on these types of reports so you have a general idea what you will be doing.
