Quick Guide for Using Super Tracker

• Welcome to Super Tracker, the diet analysis program we will be using in SPHE295.

• This guide will get you going quickly in Super Tracker, but does not provide all the information you need to utilize all of its functions.

• Let’s get started…..

Go to the website: https://www.supertracker.usda.gov Click on the words Log In/Create Profile

This window will appear. Click on the “Register Now” arrow if you have not previously registered and complete the requested information. If you have previously registered, enter your username and password.

This window will appear if you registered for the first time. Click on the word “Class” and then “Add profile.” If you registered at an earlier time, select the profile you want to use.

The following window will appear. Fill in each boxes then click on the box labeled “Submit.”

This is the next window that will appear. Put your curser over the words “Track Food & Activity” and click on “Physical Activity Tracker.”

This window will appear. Enter your physical activity information for each day. If you have a Fitbit, you connect it directly to the program and upload the information. When you are done entering this information, click on the words “Food Tracker.”

This window will appear. On this screen, you will enter the foods you ate during the three days you recorded your intake. Enter the date here and the food you ate here. Select the right item from the drop down menu. In this box, enter the amount you eat or drank. Go to next page.

Enter the amount you ate here and the meal.

Click on the box labeled “Add.” If you don’t click on this box, then the food will not be added.

You can see the food has been added and several reports are shown.

Here is a sample day with all foods added. You can check in this area to make sure you have entered all the right foods and amounts.

If you need to change something, click on the edit box next to the food you need to change and make the changes.

Keep doing this process until you have entered three days of food. Then hover over the words “My Reports” and click on the words, “Overview.”

This window will appear. Now you need to generate the reports to complete Assignment 1 and turn in.

Click on Food Groups and Calories.

This screen will appear. Enter the date span and then click on create report.

The following report will appear. Click on export report as pdf and save the report to your computer. Then click on Nutrient Reports.

The following screen will appear. Enter the same date span and click on create report.

The following window will appear with the nutrient report. Click on export report as pdf. Save the file to your computer. You will use the Food Groups and Calories and the Nutrient Report to complete Assignment 1.

Other suggestions and tidbits. Use “My Combo” and “My Recipe” to store foods that you make regularly, like lasagna. Directions are in the videos or user guide.
