The first article which come from New York Time articles talks about what is sightseeing and what is travel. “There is no pleasure in traveling,” he wrote in his articles. “I look upon it more as an occasion for spiritual testing. If we understand by culture the exercise of our most intimate sense — that of eternity — then we travel for culture.” The beautiful views, the thing which has been living in your imagination suddenly becomes a part of the tangible world. It matters not how many ranges, rivers or parching dusty ways may be between you: it is yours now forever. Thus, this article talks about what is travel and the define of the travel. If we understand it, it will be better for us to travel in free times.
The second article come from ASU library. It is talks about travel, lifestyle. This article to examine the interconnections between tourism, travel and heath. Second, to advance basic understanding of individual and social variations in lifestyle patterns and travel and their potential consequences for life.
The last article’s topic is travel life cycle. This article surveys changing tourism patterns along three time horizons: the last three decades, across the life cycle, and between successive generations. Based on empirical longitudinal data, the study suggests that the patterns and destination choice have changed with respect to all three perspectives. Younger generations gain different experiences as compared to previous generations and are likely to have different tourism patterns in later life stages. This has important implications for destinations that rely on the elderly market. Hence different age different planning for travel in the free time.
