In Robert Baird book he describes his approach of describing the American Religion in Europe.

In his book described. Braid also mentioned Evangelical churches in The U.S. work or focuses

only on Christianity which is undoubtably the most common religion or practiced faith in the

United States. He describes Evangelical as a religion of the heart instead of the head or the mind

and he also see the Evangelical as the good guy while he assumed that the bad guy is the

unevangelical because of how the beliefs are different. Braid gave examples the “Good Guy” and

he wrote that “Presbyterian, Methodist, and Congregationalists who founded the U.C.C, Harvard

University, and Yale University.” For the “Bad Guy” he assumed that Native Americans are

considered to be in the bad guys because he says that they are “savages” and he also believes that

“LDS” and “Christian Science” are also considered to be in the “Bad Guy” Category. In 1965

there was an act called “The Act of Immigration” which is one of the reasons if not the main

reason of changing religion and faiths in America by opening the door for Asians, Latin

Americans, and others by immigrating to America. When they came here in 1965, they brought

their religions and faiths with them. When that happened back then, by the years it became

Americanized which means that America influenced people of these faith to switch their lifestyle

and some of the religions aspects because it got Americanized like for example a Sunday school

among different kinds of things that America impacted people of these different faiths and

religions.
