1. Personnel description, roles and responsibilities
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire consists of a team of professionals and volunteers who help to steer its mission and vision. The organization has a board of directors which consist of seven officers in the Executive Committee and ten board members. The volunteers consist of college students whose roles include helping families and staff at the House, Family Rooms and offering support during annual special events. The volunteers also support the Adopt-A-Meal program by offering daily hot meals and baked treats. The management team is headed by Bill Sorochak who is the Executive Director. His roles and responsibilities entail fundraising, brand growth and community outreach. The members of the management team consist of the following:
a) Brad DePriest, who is the House Operations Manager. His roles include coordinating of house activities and programs and allocating for necessary funds and resource to meet program outcomes.
b) Janet Kolbush is the Events Director, and is in charge of managing and coordinating all the events including the annual events by ensuring they have delivered efficiently and project budgets are met.
c) Meagan Chandler, who is the Programs Coordinator, is in charge of cooperating with staff members to ensure the programs are implemented as per guidelines and budgets.
d) Jessica Seckinger, the Assistant House Manager, ensures coordination of tasks within the house through supervision of house staff as well as managing House expenses.
e) Mary Kent Buttimer and Melody Nixon, who are both the Evening Managers, who are responsible for all security and emergency operations of the house and documenting the handover to early staff.
f) Katherine Cole, who is in charge of Housekeeping, maintains the safety, hygiene and comfort f House occupants and also supervising the staff members.
2. Personnel Demographic Information Survey
A. Survey findings summary
The personnel vary in several demographic profile factors of age, gender, education level and income level. a) Age: the age category of staff members and volunteers ranges between 18 to 65, whereby the older age groups make up the organization’s board and management team. b) Race: the organization has a moderate distribution of racial diversity where, the whites make up 50 % while other races make up the rest including blacks, Asians and Hispanics. c) Gender: the organization similarly has equally distributed gender roles where both men and women take up leadership roles as well as volunteer roles. The ages 18-29 men are at 55% and women are at 65% while the ages 29 and older men are at 45% while women are at 35%. D) Income: Income levels range from entry levels to management level except for volunteer positions which are non-salaried. The salaries range between $18,000 and $ 150,000 for directors per year.
