Students must do outside research to support his/her analysis; What literary devices and theme does the author use to engage the readers? The student’s Works Cited page which must contain at least four (4) works that the student has used within his/her essay: the textbook for the short story, one printed source, and two on-line sources. All researched material must be cited in-text and on the works cited page.

The students will not use Google, Wiki, Shmoop, Wikipedia or any Wiki sites, encyclopedias of any kind, Spark Notes or any devices of like kind, eNotes, Bartleby.com, Prezi or any student essays posted on line unless the student-generated article is written by a student who is pursuing a masters or doctoral degree. You may use Google Chrome, Google Scholar, Jstor and other academic publications, and books.
