Step 1: Interview

Talk members of a higher education organization that are directly involved with assessment of student learning. While these would likely be instructors, you may also choose administrators who would be engaged in some form or fashion with the assessment process. In this interview, we would like you to ask them to share their thoughts on the following topics:

· How effectively do they believe students are assessed in institutions of higher education?

· What trends in assessment of student learning do they see in higher education?

· How has online teaching and learning impacted both instruction and assessment? What are the implications for the future?

Step 2: Essay

Document your interview in an essay of 1800 words. Remember to address the topics from above. Support your ideas with at least three (3) citations from the text and outside credible resources. Make sure to reference the citations using the APA writing style for the essay. The cover page and reference page do not count towards the minimum word amount.
