ORIGINAL QUESTION- Topic 1 DQ 1

Organizational change is necessary for organizations to remain competitive and to adapt to globalization. Discuss how leaders might assess organizational need for change and identify tools leaders might employ to determine the need for change.

STUDENT 1- Lar

Good evening everyone,

For an organization to operate and remain competitive, it is necessary to shift from its old operation methods to new operation methods. This is what is referred to as organizational change (Ford & Ford, 2012). Organization leaders might assess the need for an organizational change by surveying the markets. In the recent past, most companies have opted to operate digitally. For an organization to remain viable in the industry and compete favorably, it should change and embrace modern technology. Leaders can also analyze an organization's set goals from time to time to gauge the organization's achievements (Ford & Ford, 2012). If the laid down goals are not achieved using the initially laid down plan, then the leaders will need to change the strategy to achieve the organization's goals.

To gauge the need for an organizational change, some tools leaders can apply to include questionnaires to the clients. For example, in the questionnaire, the client might be requested to suggest how they would like to be served to be extremely satisfied. This way the organization will assess the need for change. Another tool that the organization can use is the media (Finn & Feldhaus, 2021). What the media will say about an organization has a great impact on its success (Ford & Ford, 2012). If the organization's reputation from the media is bad, then the organization will need to change for the best.

STUDENT 2- Dan

HI Everyone,

Organizational transformation is necessary for organizations to remain competitive and respond to globalization. Globalization is the movement of goods, technologies, information, and jobs across national boundaries and cultural boundaries. The two theories about globalization are that "globalization increases the interaction among varied populations" and "globalization culturally signifies the exchange of ideas, values, and creative expression among civilizations." All children, including those with exceptional needs, must receive daily instruction in these lessons. Some students are still studying and working from home; not all students have gone back to school. Understanding how to find information will help teachers and other online students continue their studies. After students graduate and enter the workforce, this will help them. Businesses will require leaders who are adept at creating high-performance workplaces with organizational cultures that draw and keep talent and highly motivated employees in order for them to grow and stay competitive in today's times of rapid change and ferocious competition. Organizational leaders must be able to judge when and whether changes to the organization are necessary. Change management is a methodical approach of adjusting to change. It is a technique for methodically using resources, knowledge, and instruments to create organizational success.

STUDENT 3- Pete

Leaders can assess organizational change depending on various factors like the changing culture within their given industry, public perception of their services, performance and financial outcomes within both their field and their individual setting, and employee satisfaction and retention. By recognizing these factors, they will be able to understand the growth projections and sustainability of an organization. It will identify how their services can evolve their offerings in innovative but reliable ways. Different service structures are needed to fully implement and assess approaches to change, especially with various leadership styles being used in modern practices (Lennon et al., 2023). The tools that they may use are quarterly and annual reports, industry reviews from researchers within the field, and direct surveys that can be distributed to team members and customers. These help in collecting quantitative and qualitative information on the organization that help in not only collecting sufficient data, but contextualizing the information in a sufficient manner. Through collecting information on both ends, organizations and their leadership teams will be able to create specific action plans and policy changes that are reflective of the actual needs that have been expressed from stakeholders of all types. The tools mentioned will be helpful in assessing how organization culture changes after policies are utilized and over a prolonged period of time. This helps in establishing long-lasting protocols, and pivoting whenever changes are made that may not be optimal for the organization.
