Title of your Paper
Use this template when writing your research paper. The first section of your paper is the introduction. When you enter text, ensure you indent your paraphraphs and write in complete sentences. If you modify this example or try to recreate it, validate that the spacing between everything line of text is the same. Did you notice there is no page header, other than the page number? There is no abstract, either. These are all consistent with APA 7 student paper formatting requirements. A list of the section headers and how the headers appear in the document are listed below. Use these headers and this template when developing your research paper.
Problem Statement
Type the problem statement from the outline here.
Method
Start the section with a summary of what is in this section: the sample, research questions, and the design for analysis. Every paragraph should have a topic sentence. When proofreading look for introductions and conclusions within each section. Also, add transitional sentences when moving from one concept to the next.
Sample
In this class, the sample is the provided data set. Whenever you use a data set that you did not generate, you must include the reference. Make sure that you identify the data, what can be found in the data, and the source of the data in this section.
Research Questions
Based on the topic and problem statement, the intent of this research is to answer the following questions:
1. Here I am asking well-developed research questions that are clear, have a defined scope, and identify dependent and independent variables, that are measurable, and not too simple. Since it is a question it will end with ?
2. Here I could ask a second well-developed research question?
Design for Analysis
A lot of what goes into this section is your plan for analysis, that you determine in the profile stage of analysis. Use the document Documenting Research Guide for more information.
Results
Use the document Documenting Research Guide for more information when developing the rest of your paper.
Discussion
Use the document Documenting Research Guide for more information when developing the rest of your paper.
Recommendations for Future Research
Use the document Documenting Research Guide for more information when developing the rest of your paper.
Conclusion
Use the document Documenting Research Guide for more information when developing the rest of your paper.
References
References are entered on a separate page, as shown here. A hanging indent is used. The references should be entered in alphabetical order, in APA 7. An example is shown here. There is a page break between the previous page and the section header reference.
