Interaction Project Topic.
Interaction project plays a significant role since it offers learners an opportunity to interact with various government components and then do an analysis of the experience. For this interaction project, I have chosen to attend a local government board meeting. I will be attending the Spring fire department board meeting (Burch, 2021). The meeting is scheduled for Sunday, October 24th, in the spring area. The conference will start at 7:30 a.m., and during the session, I will listen and take notes.
I hope to identify the issues being dealt with by the spring fireboard and gather information on society’s immediate concerns. I believe that the best way to impact the way we live, work, and pay taxes begins with our involvement in local governments. Fire safety is a significant concern as it aids in safeguarding people’s lives and their property.
I am choosing this activity because I want to learn how the spring fire board makes decisions that impact the lives of the people living in Colorado Springs. This experience will help me understand how and why they make the decisions that they do. I trust that if any decision-making occurs, it is important to involve all persons, and their opinions should be heard. I don’t own a lot, but I have always wondered how decisions are made concerning the property and life security against fire, and I must know how the board makes safety guidelines. Someday, I may have a lot of property that would require me to engage with this department to see that my property is safe against fire, resulting in huge losses. I would engage this department by attending their meetings to see how they set the safety guidelines after seeing how they set them while on a board meeting. Hopefully, I will be able to become vocal on matters concerning fire safety in the future.
