The purpose my research paper is to address the question of, Are children in single-parent homes worse off? Blending the topics of psychology and sociology I take a look at how single parent home affects a child in the long run. Are they as successful in certain areas such as school and work life? Or are they doomed from the beginning due to their status of being in a single family home? Also, how are their lives affected as far as their dynamic goes with their parental system? I will mainly show that today’s society is not the way it used to be. People have to take a second look at what they consider normal and reevaluate how children are affected by the change. Lastly, I delve into the negative side of single-parent homes. What happens when a single parent home does not have the best circumstances for a child to succeed? I have been hitting a wall in terms of narrowing down the best angle to allow for the most content. I have good topics, but good does not mean I will be able to comfortably make ten pages of good content. I'm also nervous because I have made good grades in my college career, I have made it all the way to my last class and I don't want to choke away my graduation. Am I the only one?
