One way to curb distraction is to create a schedule/to-do list. Having a to-do can help organize deadlines and manage one's time more efficiently with a proper schedule.

Keeping a planner or digital calendar will help you keep track of what to do and when to do it. Paper planners are perfect for those who like writing to-do lists and scheduling appointments by hand. 

Create a distraction-free environment

Creating an environment that helps you thrive is very important when dealing with distractions. You can start by creating an environment in which you’re less tempted to get preoccupied with something other than what you’re working on. This isn’t always easy to do especially when you must multitask between running a home, being a parent and getting schoolwork done. For one, we must rely on a computer to do our work, but we also find our biggest distractions is enabled using a computer on the internet.

What to do:

The solution is to Close the door to your office, if you work in an open area get rid of any form of noise.

Put on noise-canceling headphones if you must.

Turn off your phone or put it on silent and move it away from you

Set three objectives every day

A long list of to do list can be overwhelming. Its easy to give up before starting.

What to do:

You can kick off your day by working on 3 main objectives daily to accomplish your goal

Write down your goal on a sticky note and put it where you can see them.

Give yourself a shorter time frame

To eliminate distractions, give yourself a shorter time frame to finish your work. Its like giving yourself an artificial deadline but, backed up with something that holds you accountable.

Talk to your boss or client that you’ll give them a draft of a project by the end of the day. Find an accountability partner who will hold you to your target time frame.

There are a million distractions when you are hunkered down at home—that pile of dishes from this morning,  Planning out your week, including work and personal goals, could also help decrease distractions.

we find ourselves trying to work while feeling overwhelmed. This leaves us frazzled and exhausted, easily distracted and unable to focus.

Bringing your stress under control will help you regain your focus and overcome distractions more easily.

You must find ways to calm your mind and relax your body to reduce the body’s stress response.

Make sure you get enough sleep.
