Proper planning and exercising consciousness on-time control so as to ensure there is enough time available to handle and complete every task at hand (Olpin & Hesson, 2020). The quality of work and activities we do in our everyday life depends on how we plan and execute them. Among the issues that lead to poor time management include prioritizing unnecessary activities with no value generation, mistaking, lack of planning and prioritization, progressive procrastination and unproductive meetings. Based on the question, helping a friend manage his time will require proper planning of every activity and executing every activity with respect to their urgency and importance placed on the task (Olpin & Hesson, 2020). One of the best strategies is to prepare a to-do list and remain intentional and focused towards respecting time and schedules within the to-do list. Within the to-do list, tasks will be divided into the small, urgent and quick tasks that could be completed within minutes, then over to bigger and operational tasks that could be accomplished progressively. Secondly, it will be wise to prioritize tasks to provide a better guidance throughout the day. Thirdly, remaining focused and find better ways of managing distractors will be an essential element in proper time management (Olpin & Hesson, 2020).
