A. Brief intent of proposal: To identify HR managerial strategies that can support the globalization plan of Starbucks. The organization mission, vision and goals will also be considered for integration in the plan. Talent recruitment to fill open positions will have an effect in the organization in addition to any proposal.

B. Proposal identification and implementation: An organizational gap analysis is to be conducted. The data from the gap analysis will be utilized to get leaders to buy in. Develop a training plan to enhance talent improvement.

C. Possible Sources: Information sources will be obtained from global organizations, case studies, articles, Starbucks’ website.

II. The HR Strategy Proposal

A. Identify possibilities for a global and cross-cultural approach for human resource professionals in the interest of improving cultural responsiveness and capitalizing on the commonalities, values, and individual uniqueness of organizational members.

1. Starbucks’ operations consist of upwards of 30,000 coffee shops and kiosks spread over 80 markets around the world including Japan, Germany, Mexico, and Malaysia-just to name but a few (Starbucks, 2019). The corporation outlines its organizational culture as a culture of belonging, inclusion, and diversity, however the culture in the U.S may be different than the culture in Japan, Germany, Mexico, and Malaysia to name a few. The need for diversity and culture training is of high importance in each market.

B. Identify evidence-base strategies that integrate sound, date-driven analysis, and critical decision making to support the goals, vision, and mission of the organization.

1. The use of matrix’s will be utilized to forecast future decisions making, ie, hiring cost, turnover, and other data. Matrix’s can be used to attain information data on Starbuck’s strategic goal achievement and organization mission.

C. Suggest how the department will continue protecting the integrity of the business, its employees, and its management practices through appropriate risk management.

1. Safeguard the organization and the stakeholder’s integrity thru risk identification, assessments, compliance, and ethics training. Legal risk identification and assessments will need to be conducted to enhance knowledge and stay up to date with changes in state and federal laws.

2. Create policies, educate, and make all high-level stakeholders comply with them.

D. Suggest how to effectively leverage customer service and negotiation strategies that build engaging relationships with stakeholders through trust, teamwork, and direct communication.
