You have a sector established, and within the sector you have a specific place. You also have planned a needs assessment. Now, you get to create a mission statement, vision, goals, and objectives all from the needs assessment.

I know that you didn't actually do the needs assessment; you just planned for it. I would like you to dig into the literature a bit. What are needs that have already been identified in the literature about your sector. For example: what does the research say about what public school employees need for their health and wellness? What does the research say that nurses in hospitals need in terms of their own health? If you are interested in workplace wellness in the corporate sector, what does the literature say about the health needs of those employees?

Now let's pretend that you do have good data. Please create the mission statement for your work, the vision statement, and the goals, and the objectives for a program that you would like to put into place. Again...we are NOT actually creating the program. We are planning for the program! Use the "Objective Practice Sheet" to help guide your work. Also, utilize the links provided to shape your plans. The appropriate chapters in your textbook also are VERY IMPORTANT to this assignment. You will need to cite, in text, the research that you used, and the book for our class where appropriate. Include a reference list.

This will be time-consuming. "You get paid to think!" Instead of filling the week with "stuff", I want you to fill it with creativity!
