Last semester,an experiment was done in class where 40 students were asked to take out all of the coins they had on them. Pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters (no bills – just coins). The students added it up, and then gave  their total (in $).Students were asked to provide their gender. Below is the data from that class session.I want YOU to run the appropriate test  on the data using student gender as the independent variable and amount of change as the dependent variable. Do you think one gender had more in money in coins than the other?

Your job is to determine if males have a significantly different total amount in coins than females. As you worked on this problem, be mindful of the eight steps we covered in Chapter 10 (Salkind).  Use the data in this table to answer the questions that follow.
