Each student will complete a course project in which the student has to develop a course topic, do research on the topic, connect it with a real-life application, write an analysis of the statistical results presented in one or more statistics-related articles, and demonstrate the ability to integrate the concepts and methods of statistics through the individualized final project. The project will focus on a real-world statistics-related problem(s) that is authentic and may be interdisciplinary. Students demonstrate their ability to integrate the concepts and methods of statistics through an individualized final project. The project consists of two components: in-class presentation and the term paper. It includes such activities as inquiry, investigation, research, calculation, communication /collaboration, and organization.
