Data management
Whenever it comes to the treatment satisfaction, the management of data entails the administrative process comprising of all the activities of acquisition, validation, storage, protection as well as the processing of the required data, (Ray, 2014). All of the above undertakings ensure that the needed data is highly accessible, reliable to the users and within the time frame that its users require it. The appropriate way of managing data, in this case, was by running the frequency tables regarding the readiness of the patients for the treatment. In this study, the individual computed a dependent variable of the patient response and an independent variable of the treatment readiness. The management of the data was done by assessing the level that the patients agree with the level of their readiness for the treatment.
The response ranged from one end to the other end, i.e., it ranged from strongly disagreeing to the strongly agreeing with the intermediates being disagreeing, uncertain as well as accepting with the readiness to treatment. The frequencies were run for the variables CEST013 TR, CEST014, CEST054 TR, and CEST056 TR and the CEST006 TR need. Specifically, the frequencies were run for the CEST006 TR need for staying in the treatment. After the collection of the data, there was a high need for transforming it into other forms that are highly reliable among the users. The data were transformed into percentages like the valid and the cumulative percentages that are highly reliable among the users. Despite running frequencies as the appropriate ways of obtaining and managing data, it is highly essential for estimating the validity or the legitimacy of the responses.
Data analysis
As an attempt to analyzing the data, there was the application of the Univariate and the bivariate correlation analysis of the data. Regarding the issue of the univariate descriptive method of the data analysis, there was a review of the SPSS sprint out as well as answering of the questions that were relevant to every variable within the frequency table. There was the consideration of the mean, mode, and the median category of every data that was collected in the study. The mean factor was three, and this implied that there was an average score in the study. About the sexual characteristic, the mode was viewed to be one, and this represented the male category who were the majority of the sample. About the grade category, the median category was nine, and this implied that the individuals in the ninth grade agreed with the treatment readiness.
Regarding the case of the Bivariate correlations for the data analysis, the greatest relationship was observed to be between the gang activities and the gang association. The indication by the relationship was that the higher values related to the high gang activities and the more likely a respondent thought to be joined to the gang, (Warner, 2008). When it came to the inter-correlations, the greatest relationship was observed to be between the peer delinquency and the gang affiliation. The indication by the relationship was that the higher peer delinquency had a higher relationship with the gang affiliation. The other greatest relationship was observed to be between gang activities and deviance. The indication by this association was that the more defiant that an individual was likely to be, the more there was a likelihood that the same person participated in the gang activities.
Discussion
The major observation that was made from the study was that there existed an association between the independent variables and the dependent variable. For instance, there was a great association observed between the desire for the help and the satisfaction of the treatment. In most cases, whenever a person desires a given help, it is highly certain that the same individual will be highly satisfied with the help that has been provided. In this case, the desire for treatment has a high likelihood that the individual will be satisfied with the treatment provided. The other notable issue seen in the study was that there existed a relationship between participation in treatment and treatment satisfaction. In this case, if an individual participates in the treatment, then the individual will be satisfied with the treatment.
The desire for help also had a relationship with participation in the treatment. The reasoning behind this association is that the need for help has the likelihood of triggering some involvement in that the person in need of help will participate in that treatment. The participation is as a result of trying to obtain the best outcome out of the treatment, and in this manner, the desire for help will be revealed. It is also notable that the readiness for treatment highly related to the satisfaction of the treatment. In most cases, an individual that is not ready to receive the treatment may be indicating that the level of satisfaction of that treatment might be very low. Therefore, if the person is ready for the treatment, then there is a revelation that the person feels that the treatment will satisfy the desire for it.
