Statement of Job Goals
1. Goals should be aligned with program and organizational goals.
2. Collaborate with your supervisor, to understand how your work contributes to the accomplishment of the overall mission.
3. Think about your job and your areas of responsibility and accountability.
4. Develop a goal statement for each area of responsibility focus on results.
5. The goal should be specific, clear and measurable.
6. It is recommended you develop a minimum of three SMART Goals.
S = Specific - What will be accomplished? What actions will you take?
M = Measurable - What data will measure the goal? How much? How well?
A = Achievable – Is the goal doable? Do you have the necessary skills and resources?
R = Relevant – How does the goal align with broader goals? Why is the result important?
T = Time-Bound – What is the time frame for accomplishing the goal?
