Physics writing
What am I supposed to do for the project?
For the project, you will need to:
1. Estimate your greenhouse gas emissions based on your energy use.
Please go to the following EPA website, and answer a few questions to get this estimate. Copy the estimated values into the tables provided on pages 3 and 4 in the attached "Instructions in Detail" document. Paste these completed tables in the “Results” section of your report (called the “Project Report Outline” document).
https://www3.epa.gov/carbon-footprint-calculator/
2. Make three graphs for the indicators of climate change (temperature, sea level, and Annual Greenhouse Gas Index) and paste them in the “Results” section of your report.
The instructions for making these graphs and their websites are on pages 5 and 6 of the attached "Instructions in Detail" document.
3. Complete the "Quantitative Component" which are a few Math questions found in the attached “Quantitative Component” document and paste it into the “Quantitative” section of your report.
4. Add a picture showing participation in at least one sustainable activity this semester (e.g., recycling) to the “Experimental” section of your report.
5. Write a 1000 to 1,500-word scientific report in APA style describing what the greenhouse effect is and how human activity contributes to it. The "Project Report Outline" document has the template you need to complete this report. Note: no separate essay is required. For this report, it is the quality of your writing that is important and not the quantity. The word count limit does not include the Quantitative component, Figure captions, References, etc. You are required to work on the project individually and write the report in your own words. Reminder : the greenhouse effect occurs when gases such as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere trap heat radiated by Earth, that would otherwise escape to space, and thus warm the planet.
I need three paragraph:
1)Details about the green house effect
2)How human activity contributes to greenhouse effect
3)Conclusion
Then references in separate page
6. Before you submit your written report, you are urged to have it checked by the Dallas College Writing Center for spelling and grammar. This service is free, and can be accessed at: https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/[email protected]/bookings/
7. If you have done this project in a previous semester in another physics or astronomy course, then please follow the instructions in the “Project done before” document.
Thank you, good luck, wish you an enjoyable project experience, and thank you for helping our planet!
