PEERS RESPONSE:

Hl Class,

The topic I picked is, should sex education be taught in public schools? Yes, I feel that sex education should be taught in schools. Every student should the importance of safe sex and teenage pregnancy. When I was in high school, I learned just the basics about STDs and how to use condoms and how to properly apply one. Today we need to teach our children just more than the basics about sex. Children should know that it's more than STDs and getting pregnant. Sex education classes can educate children about their bodies. There are so many young people that are not being taught about their bodies and what their bodies parts operate and work. Having a sex education class could maybe cut the risk of teenage pregnancy from the ages of 12 to 19. Knowing about sex could cut the peer pressure of children having sex until their mentally and physically ready. Sex education in the school will teach them also about what changes their body is going through when they don't understand the feeling they might be having and not feeling comfortable telling a parent. They will know what to expect because of the class they have taken in school and the information they have been given. Sex education being taught in public schools, private every school would be an excellent choice.
