Systems Recommendation and BA&SR Report
In the new age of automation, MTC Inc. can have a sigh of relief. Recruitment automation can streamline every step of hiring process, thereby empowering employers with increased control as well as tracking capabilities. Organizations can also impress job applicants with timely communication and advanced technology. The growing demand for recruitment automation application has fueled popularity in artificial intelligence for recruitment. With companies expecting hiring volumes to continue increasing and recruitment teams declining or remaining the same size, demand for recruitment automation tools will only become stronger. With successes of technological advancements in sales and marketing, supply chain management, and finance, organizations are adopting recruiting technology to transform their hiring processes and enhance recruiters’ capabilities. This report recommends UMGHUMGC Hiring Solution’s EZ-ATS recruitment tool for MTC Inc.
Benefits of Automated Recruitment Process
Growing demand for highly specialized and experienced employees makes finding qualified job applicants a daunting task. Only about 25 percent of resumes received emanate from qualified job applicants (Half, 2019). By automatically sifting through unqualified job applicants, recruiters can save valuable time spent identifying the most qualified talent for a given position. Recruitment automation reduces hiring biases, minimizes operational costs, and provides efficient hiring tools and analytics.
An additional advantage directly associated with faster and efficient recruitment process is a reduction in per recruitment costs associated with poor choices and/or missed opportunities. A vacant position is a significant source of cost in form of lost output, reduced revenues, risk, and lost efficiency, as well as job advertisements. In addition, costs of making a bad hire can be very high. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the cost of bad hires can hit up to 30 percent of an employer’s first year income or earnings (Sturt, 2016).
Most importantly, automation employs standardized screenings and evaluations to streamline processes used in identifying most qualified job candidates. Hence, a recruiting specialist has more time to focus on human centric activities including assessing a candidate’s cultural fit, enthusiasm, and temperament for a given position. Gupta, Fernandes, and Jain (2018) indicate that automation of recruitment process allows recruiters to gather plenty of a candidate’s data such as name, resumes, and contact details. Cloud based solutions safely store all data in a single place and allow recruiters to organize as well as access data irrespective of their location.
Proposed Solution
The proposed recruitment automation solution is the EZ-ATS software by the UMGC Hiring Solutions, Inc. This cloud-based application provides organizations with everything they require to develop a high performing recruitment process and exceptional candidate experience. This applicant tracking platform helps organizations in determining the best talents in labor market by screening out the best rather than sorting out the poorest job applicants. Organizations can use the software’s analytics to predict the success of a job candidate in a given role (UMGC Hiring Solutions, 2019).
With the EZ-ATS software, MTC Inc. can custom implementation, get dedicated account manager, and enjoy automated software updates. Organizations can customize their dashboards and workflows to meet their needs. They can also develop customizable reports for performance tracking and effective recruitment. Moreover, recruiters can use the EZ-ATS software to expedite approval for job openings, job applicants, and formal offers. Another important feature of this software is itscloudits cloud-based Software as a Service, which organizations can use to connect anywhere and use any device. In addition, the software has unlimited data storage, secures data, and does not require new hardware (UMGC Hiring Solutions, 2019). These features are in congruence with the National Bureau of Economics Research’s findings that algorithms lead to better hiring decisions than human beings (Miller, 2018).

Implementation Process
Hardware Requirements
It is important to take into account hardware requirements before investing in the EZ-ATS software. The company requires a software can operate from personal computers, laptops, and mobile devices, which can ensure close contact between recruiters and candidates. Thus, the the company must have personal computers, laptops, and smartphones to successfully use the EZ-ATS software. The software can operate from any device and all that users requires are username and password. The software does not require external storage devices for data because the UMGC Hiring Solution Inc. offers unlimited online and archived data in addition. It also secures systems at its data centers. Users only need Internet and/or WIFI to connect from wherever they are.
User Interface Design and System Support
The new system should have a user friendly and intuitive interface design. All significant information must be readily apparent. In essence, testing and using the EZ-ATS software should not present significant challenges. The company’s user department should easily track employees’ skills and experience during hiring process when using the new system. UMGC Hiring Solutions, Inc. (2019) indicates that recruiters can easily use the system from any device, any location, and at anytime. In addition, system maintenance does not interfere with user experience. Most importantly, users do not have to worry about system updates because the vendor installs security and all updates automatically. Concerning system support, it is important to consider if the system package includes installation cost, employee training, repairs, as well as on-site service. If not, MTC Inc. should determine the cost of these other services.
Change Management
Some employees may require maintenance of status quo and reject the proposed solution. As a result, the company’s top management must provide effective leadership to earn employees trust and buy in. Appropriate change management strategies such as effective communication and formation of teams comprising of proponents and opponents of change can help with quick diagnosis of problems. Although the proposed solution requires significant initial investment, the company must set aside some financial resources for user training and development. In fact, UMGC Hiring Solutions, Inc. (2019) provides free EZ-ATS videos and training resources to establish on-site training of employees to meet organizational needs. MTC Inc. can then provide users with user accounts, log in information, and one-time password. Most importantly, the company must have user support resources.
