i. This journal talks in depth on discimination and how it is integrated into America through time. We can see how it started and the product and outcome can be seen in the movie. We can use the information to summarize how the movie depicted segregation.

Thesis:

Detroit holds one of the longest reigning issues to date, segregation. With laws, movements, and equal opportunities being put in the works to desegregate Detroit, it still seems to continue having a separation. In 8 Mile, a film directed and curated by Curtis Hanson, it depicts the separation by 8 mile between different race groups.
