i. Talks about white people and how they have advantages on certain aspects of society. As the movie is following a white male, challenging white privilege would help best compare to his story of making it.

Thesis:

Detroit holds one of the longest reigning issues to date, segregation. With laws, movements, and equal opportunities being put in the works to desegregate Detroit, it still seems to continue having a separation. In 8 Mile, a film directed and curated by Curtis Hanson, it depicts the separation by 8 mile between different race groups.
