Stem & Leaf + Measure of CT

Objective:
Following the standard path of analysis (Normal, Stable, Capable)
Create a Stem and Leaf Plot for the wait times that were captured from the patients in the waiting rooms and determine
if it is approimately normally distributed
Instructions for you:
1. Construct a stem-and-leaf diagram
2. Answer the question: "Is the process approximately normally distributed?"
3. If not, what is the specific name of the distribution type?
4. What is the best measure of Central Tendency and what is its value?
5. Based on this analysis, what is the next thing the team should focus on?
APPENDIX D: Data represents Wait Time in minutes beyond their scheduled Appointment Time for the last 70 patients. Use it to create Stem and Leaf Plots

Is it reasonably normally distributed?
If it is not normal, what shape is it? (Use the correct name for this shape, not a description.)
Based on this analysis, what is the best Measure of Central Tendency and what is its value?
Based on this analysis, what would should the team do next?

Med Assist Analysis (T Test)

Objective:
Two individual staff members were being observed performing identical activities in the Doctor’s office. 25 random samples were taken for each staff member. One of the Medical Assistants is a new employee. Medical Assistant #1 has been with Dr. Deasley for several years. Medical Assistant #2 is a new employee and has been with this medical practice for 9 months. We want to determine how Assistant 2 performs when compared to Medical Assistant #1. Since she is a new employee
Use a Two Sample T-test to determine if the process performance is influenced by the Assistant performing the tasks
The historical mean for Medical Assistant #1 was .0126 (Assume that the distributions are sufficiently similar for this analysis)
APPENDIX E: Data represents 25 process observations for Medical Assistant #2
Data:
0.009 0.011 0.011 0.01 0.014
0.015 0.011 0.011 0.013 0.011

0.011 0.01 0.008 0.012 0.011
0.011 0.008 0.012 0.009 0.012
Instructions for you:
1. Using the data provided, calculate the T Test statistic value (Assume data from sample 1 is sufficiently similar to sample 2)
2. Using the Critical Value for a TWO tailed t-test, look up the Critical Value (df = n-1) | assume a Level of Significance value of 0.05)
3. State your statistical conclusion (do we accept or reject the Null hypothesis?)
4. Based on this analysis, what can we conclude about the influence different Medical Assistants have on the process?

State the null hypothesis::: m Medical Assistant 1 = 0.0126
State the alt. hypothesis::: m Medical Assistant 1 <> 0.0126 Mean (xBar) StDev Sample Size (n)
Med. Assistant 2 0.01136 0.0019122413 25
Calculate the required values
T test statistic (round to 6 decimal places): Use 6 decimal places.
What is the critical value?
State your statistical conclusion in the words of the null and alternate hypotheses
State your practical conclusion in the words of the problem addressed
by this study. (Do not use generic hypothesis test wording.)
