SRM Assignment 4 – Young Worker Risk Assessment

Requirements: FOCUS ON SAFETY and HEALTH HAZARDS TO YOUNG WORKERS

• Produce a risk assessment of young persons at work in the described workplace. You may use

the RA template as a reference.

• Identify any prohibitions of work the young worker may be asked to do.

• Produce a bullet point list of what should be contained in an induction process for young

workers.

• Identify who should be involved in compiling the risk assessment.

• Identify who should be given a copies of the risk assessment.

• Using a spider diagram identify who should take part in the induction process for young workers

on work experience.

• Completion of RA

– RA conducted, the severity and likelihood should be based on young worker

– Use of hierarchy of controls when recommending additional control measures

– RA Form completed, showing clearly person conducting assessment and dates

– Check for similarity (<30%).
