For this assignment, you will test the validity of a research study using a verification process. First, review the “Qualitative Validity” section in your textbook (pages 75–81). Then read the Mitchell Report on Steroids – Executive Summary and use Creswell’s verification process outlined in Table 5.3 in your textbook to analyze the validity of the study (focus primarily on the qualitative research).

Using the Qualitative Verification Process Worksheet provided (a blank version of the verification elements provided in Table 5.3), address the following critical elements. The following critical elements must be addressed:

I. Identify and describe in two to three sentences the verification methods used in the article. II. Address the result of the verification process—whether, in your opinion, the article’s research passed the process. If the research passed the verification

process, explain how that was done. If not, determine what could have been improved to strengthen the validity of this study. Guidelines for Submission: Your completed worksheet must be submitted in 12-point Times New Roman font with citations in APA format.
