For this assignment, you will first review the qualitative and quantitative research design approaches covered in your textbook and readings. Then, locate a sports related research study dissertation or thesis with a solid research design approach. Use Shapiro Library’s database of dissertations and theses to locate your resource, specifically searching in the areas of “sports” and “sports management.” Next, in a two- to three-page paper, describe the research design of the dissertation or thesis, including design approach, methodology, and strategies used to gather research and data. Include a reflection on the strengths and weaknesses of the study and justify your responses. Note the ways in which your final project research design might be similar to or different from the one you are reviewing and explain why. Pay particular attention to the concepts as they relate to the design of your own research proposal. Identify whether your research proposal will use a qualitative and/or a quantitative data collection method. Be sure to provide APA citations including a link to the dissertation or thesis you are reviewing. Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
