Milestone Two: Literature Review Draft
SPT 501 Milestone Two Guidelines and Rubric (Literature Review Draft)
Overview: For this milestone, you will conduct a comprehensive review of seven literature sources relevant to your research question. Instructor feedback received from these reviews should be incorporated in the final project submission due in Module Nine. Use the Literature Review Guide to aid you in completing this draft. For each of your seven sources, complete the following critical elements:
I. Analyze the literature and information for how it relates to your research question. This analysis will provide a theoretical base for the research. Cite the source in APA format, provide a succinct description, and explain its relevance to your research question.
II. Describe any bias or limitations present in the source, and the potential impact these may have on your research. Once you have done that for each of your sources, you will be ready to draw conclusions from your literature review related to your research problem. You will do the following additional components to complete your literature review:
III. Summarize one other research study that has addressed a similar research question that could potentially be applied to your research proposal. This study must be independent from the seven literature reviews required for the final project.
IV. From the study you have researched, explain the methods that were used to resolve the issue. V. Based on your findings of the related study, describe how this information will inform your research proposal, and support your response with specific
examples from your research.
Guidelines for Submission: The reviews must be submitted as written narratives (not a filled out version of the Literature Review Guide) in a Microsoft Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, and any sources cited in APA format. Each article review should be approximately 1 page in length and the related research study component should be approximately 1 page in length.
