SPT 461 Milestone Two Guidelines and Rubric Overview: You will complete a capstone that integrates the knowledge and skills you have developed throughout the Bachelor of Science in Sport Management program by creating a portfolio presentation, professional resume and cover letter, and reflection. Your portfolio presentation should reflect your best work throughout your academic career. To do this, you will refresh and improve upon existing work that you completed previously in the program, adding the improved collection of works into a professional portfolio. Prompt: This milestone will help you complete one of the three final project components. For this second component of the capstone, you will compile a comprehensive, professional presentation in which you synthesize elements of the portfolio you have developed throughout your program. You should select what you deem to be your best work, the pieces that demonstrate best practices within the field of sport management. For each of your pieces, you should make any necessary adaptations depending on the area of sport management that you intend to seek a career in. All of your pieces included in the presentation should be professional and of the highest quality. The following critical elements are required:

A. Describe your thoughts on the current landscape within your selected area of sport management. B. Describe your approach to sales and provide at least three key ideas you have to improve sales in the organization. C. Provide at least five key ideas for increasing awareness or enhancing the brand of the organization. D. Discuss what you believe are some key areas to look for as a sport manager in relation to safety and risk management when it comes to facility

management. E. Describe key components of facility management that a manager must deal with on a regular basis. F. List five key elements that you would include in a pitch deck for a potential sponsorship. G. Describe your leadership style and management philosophy as a manager within the field of sport. Discuss the management and leadership strategies

you would employ in situations as a manager in your sport organization or field of interest. H. Describe your current philosophy and approach to hiring and retaining new employees. I. Explain trends in your field of interest and the impact these trends have on this organization. Explain the impact your chosen field can have on the local,

regional, national, and global communities.

Rubric Guidelines for Submission: You will develop a 15- to 25-slide professional presentation comprised of the portfolio elements you have been creating throughout your program. You can use any presentation software you feel comfortable with, as long as your instructor will be able to access and review it.
