What am I required to do in this assignment?
|
|
Assessment 2 This is a case study of a community-based sport organization or project identified by you (and agreed with the Unit Tutor). This case study must provide contextual evidence of the organizations / projects relevance within community sport development through an analysis of relevant topics/issues that are clearly grounded in one or more of the conceptual/theoretical debates examined within the unit’s lecture and seminar programme. It requires a detailed and well informed conceptual and practical (i.e. based on concrete evidence such as statistical and visual evidence, interview and observational data) exploration and critical summary of factors affecting its viability and potential effectiveness as a community sport provider; informed by literature and best practice. The preparation of the case study is supported by group-based seminar work, individual tutorials exploring and evidencing your progress and a short seminar presentation that will provide your peers on the unit the chance to critique, extend and frame the debates raised by your selected case-study. In addition these processes will evidence your independent work and its underpinning of your understanding of sport development.
