In this week’s assignment, you will create your very own Online Sports Ethics Magazine. You will do this using Scoop.it!
By following the instructions presented below, you will create your own Online Sports Ethics Magazine and learn current issues in this area. This will help you with your discussions and possibly with your assignments. At the end of the class you will have this online magazine to keep.
Complete the following steps:
1. Go to http://www.scoop.it/
2. To the top right of the screen you will click on “SIGN UP.”
3. When you click on “SIGN UP” a window will pop up that says whether to “Sign in with Facebook”, “Sign in with Twitter”, or “I don’t have a Facebook or a Twitter Account.” I suggest clicking on “I don’t have a Facebook or a Twitter Account.”
4. Click on “I don’t have a Facebook or Twitter Account.”
5. Enter your information (Full name, email, password, select Education for “I will use Scoop.it! for).
6. The following window will be shown:
7. Sign into your email account where Scoop.it! email was sent to. Click on the weblink provided.
8. Your TOPIC should be titled: “ Sports Ethics – your last name and first initial.”

9. Add keywords for your literature search (i.e., articles or videos), and click on Next.
(Review assigned readings to see some of the many keywords associated with Sports Ethics).
10. Decide where you will share your content,
to skip sharing, just click on Next.
11. Add topics of interest.
12. You will then see topics for you to follow. Click the X to close the window.
13. When you find a publication (i.e., article or video) you would like to publish to your Scoop.it! magazine, click the green box in the upper right hand corner of this publication.
*** If "re-scooping" (i.e., selecting) publications to present in your Scoop.it! Online Magazine, please avoid "re-scooping" each publication from one (1) author's collection of literary sources.
14. Once you have collected all of your publications (i.e., articles and/or videos), you may ‘share your insight’ (i.e., optional – not required for completing this assignment) and publish them. Make certain to PUBLISH your publications.
15. You will be notified that your scoop has been rescooped.
16. Next, you need to Publish your publications (i.e., articles and/or videos). Click on the PUBLISH menu at the top of the screen.
17. You will then be sent to an Advanced Configuration Menu page:
Click “X” in top right hand corner of screen in order to proceed to Step 18.
18. After that, your publications (i.e., articles and videos) will be published!
19. You should have at least 9 articles ALL RELATED TO ETHICS IN SPORTS to receive full credit. (Review assigned readings to see some of the many areas of Sports Ethics).
Be certain to review the assignment's additional information concerning total number of publications presented within a student's submission (see assignment’s instructions).

Once you have published your Online Sports Magazine complete the following :

*** IMPORTANT -- Compose a one (1) page summary analysis (i.e., minimum of 250 words, excluding title page) of your magazine. Explain why you selected these articles/videos and how this information will benefit you during your career pursuit(s). Within written summary, identify some articles' or videos' titles or author's/authors' names of these publications presented in Online Magazine (i.e., articles/videos) to support statements discussed. Please save this information in a MS Word formatted document file (i.e., docx. or doc.). At the conclusion of this summary, paste the web link of your new online magazine.
Remember to include an APA formatted Title page with your submission (see https://apastyle.apa.org/).
Submit your assignment as an attachment in a single MS Word (doc., docx.) document titled "Your Last Name Week 2 Assignment" prior to the established due date. For example, the MS Word document would be titled: Johnson Week 2 Assignment.
Also, go to SPMT326 Week 3 Discussion and simply paste your Scoop.it! Online Magazine URL (i.e., web site) link and present a TITLE describing your Scoop.it! Online Magazine so students can visit your new magazine.

DELETING your Scoop.it! Account (be certain to wait until this course is completed)
If you would like to delete your Scoop.it! Account - After you login to your Scoop.it! Account:
1. Click on "arrow shape/icon" (i.e., arrow is pointing downward) next to your name located at top right hand corner of web page (i.e., Scoop.it! home page) and click on Settings..
2. "Delete Account" option is at bottom of this web page.
3. Select "Delete.”
