FINAL PROJECT: Analyzing Presentations

Instructions:

We will be utilizing a final essay project for our completion in Communication in the Workplace. Please select ONE of the 4 options and upload your project by the final due date. This essay is worth 20% of your final grade in the course (the same equivalent as your Informative Presentation). Make sure you put effort into this essay.

Option 1

Go to Rhetoric.com and watch a famous presentation from history. Give a three-five page analysis of the speech. First, analyze the audience, context, organization, and delivery of the presentation. Utilize chapters 11, 12, 13, 14 to support your answers. Finally, in your analysis, explain what how you would have responded to witnessing this presentation live.

Option 2

Go to YouTube and locate one example of an informative presentation that is effective and one that is not. In your three to five page analysis, compare and contrast the speakers in these presentations in relation to audience, context, organization and delivery of presentation. Utilize chapters 11, 12, 13,14 to support your answers. Include the URL links in your Works Cited or Reference page.

Option 3

Go to TedX.com and locate an example of a presentation you consider to be effective. In your three to five page analysis, explain the audience, context, organization and delivery of the presentation. Utilize chapters 11, 12, 13, 14 to support your answers. Include the URL links in your Works Cited or Reference page.

Option 4

Locate two presentations on the Coronavirus and compare/contrast the speakers in a three to five page analysis in relation to audience, context, organization, and delivery. Utilize chapters 11,12,13,14 to support your answers. Include the URL links in your Works Cited or Reference page.

FINAL NOTES:

All options will require you to do research and use the information to support your views/contentions about a particular presentation. Essays with little to no textbook or outside source support will be given credit. Please use double space, 12 point font, Times New Roman with either MLA or APA notation for in-text citations and either a Works Cited or Reference page at the end of your work. If you use a direct quote, use quotation marks around the words and an in-text citation at the end of the sentence in MLA or APA format. If you summarize the information in your own words, use an in-text citation at the end of the sentence/paragraph in MLA or APA format. YOU MUST GIVE CREDIT FOR INFORMATION YOU USE!!!!!
