The speech ideas I would want to share with the class include 1) Guns should be banned from college campuses, 2) Substance abuse is a cause of social evils and 3) Clothes define a person. These three ideas, I believe, are essential and change the lives of many youths.

The issue of gun violence has been pervasive on college campuses, and many students have lost their lives, and others have severely sustained gun wounds. Therefore, I would advocate guns being banned from college campuses to save more lives and promote a healthy relationship with each other. I want to urge the students to stop coming with guns at school because they are causing more harm than good (Lewis et al., 2016). My classmates need to understand the negative impacts of gun violence because we have had several causes of gun violence in our class.

Substance use is indeed a cause of evil society. Most college students abuse various substances that have made many students drop out of school, and others have mental problems. The youths where most of my classmates lie are at high risk of abusing substances due to peer pressure and bad influence from their relatives (Keough et al., 2018). Students need to understand that substance abuse can negatively affect their lives and kill their academic dreams.

Dressing code defines the kind of person you are (Van Luyn, 2019). Some students have been dressing carelessly and exposing their bodies much, which has triggered an increase in rape cases in our institution. Dressing decently is crucial because it will make you more respected and help avoid rape cases. However, dress code should not be considered one of the solid reasons for rape; it is imperative to dress well.
