hello everybody, this is alex, today I will talk about help4 group box program

I will start with a story

The women in the left picture named Nancy, she is a famer, she feels very frustrated because many vegetables rotted in the field.

The girl in the right picture named Emily, she looks nervous, because she doesn’t have enough food to eat, in china some schools in rural area have very limited budgets, they are unable to provide students enough food which meets their basic nutrition requirements.

According to the report, on one hand 30% fruits and vegetables never leave farm, they are wasted, on the other hand around 15% children are at the risk of physical health problem

Here are some pictures, supermarket refuse to collet these produce what they called ugly food only because they did not seem attractive to customers, they looks ugly but they are good to eat

So, We thought we should do something

We have a plan to fix the problem

by collecting those “ugly” vegetables and fruits from local farms, then cleaning, light processing, packaging and sell it to these schools at an affordable price.

In 2018 I created help4 group with some of my friend

help4group a social enterprise committed to reducing food waste and improving the improving the dietary health of children in the poor neighborhood.

we signed an agreement with 3 schools in 2 different area, right now we served more than 600 students

When we launch our business,

some customer told us, they need our service not only at school but also at home, they want their family also have access good quality vegetables at affordable price

then we did a market research, we sent survey to our existing customers, 200 of them respond, 70% of our customer shows strong interest and would like to try if we launch the box program

On the other hand, when we launch our business we realized we had unhealthy revenue structure,

in 2019, around 90 percent of the revenue come from government purchase

And less than 10 precent from the wholesale and donations,

we thought we should find other ways to generate profits rather than only rely on government purchase.

Then we decide to launch box program this year

We believe every family should have access to fresh vegetables at affordable prices

We plan to make three different boxes, box a b and c

Grocery Box A is normal grocery food box.Come with varity veggeie and frsutis, The customer could customize the contents of the box.we will provide door to door delivery service every week

Grocery Box B come up with easy-to-follow, well-designed recipe cards and also vegetables which is ready to cook

Grocery Box C is more about education, more focus on the interaction and between parents and children

I will talk about three boxes in detail

BOX A

· Like I mentioned before Box A is the normal food box，customer could buys the vegetables and fruits what they want .The customer may customize the contents and the size of the box.

AFTER THAT

· We dilivery it to the customer door directly

· it could saving them money (up to 30-40% off compare with grocery store) and time they don’t have to go to a grocery store in person

· Target customer could be :

· People who living below the poverty line

· People who care cost-effective

· Senior/People with disabilities

Box B

Our research shows that many people believes an order for delivery.

restaurants which is expensive and less healthy.some people prefer cook by themselves

· BOX B comes with easy-to-follow, well-designed recipe cards and also come up with the food which is ready to cook

Customer also can choose different recipes each day from serval different types of plans

Working professionals with a busy lifestyle could save time by selecting Box B

BOX C

· Box C come up with instruction books which have fun activities focus on interaction between children and parents

· research shows that there are a lot of benefits cooking with kids

· Parents who lack a way to interact with their children or need engagement could choose Box C with education instructions book. that will make cooking an enjoyable and memorable family experience.

Right now, We are touching with some education companies and see how we could corporate together

But We will try to launch box A next month, and see how it goes

We think about it in 3 different prespecrtive

We will have some competators:

They all do delivery service

First one is normally grocery store delivery serciece,

The quality of food is about aveage, but they have higher price

The second one freshippo is a the one of the best/leading arganic store in china

they provide High quality food, but it’s very Expensive

for the food bank, first not too many food banks in china and they provide very low quality food, not the same of food bank in us
